Machine Impossible (6 x 60mins)
National Geographic International

Role: Producer & Field Director

Machine Impossible is an adventure-tech series that follows two best friends around the world as they explore the exciting innovations happening in science and technology. Through their discoveries, they become inspired to create their own hybrid versions of these technologies—such as a flying car, a hovercraft, or a superhuman exoskeleton.

The series was filmed over three months and took us to more than 10 countries around the world. The best part of producing this series was that I learned a lot about different technologies. The climax of every episode is when Max and Misha build their own machine based on what they’ve learned along the way, collaborating with other experts. It was our job during prep to work with makers and companies to conceptualize, draw, and design different machines that we would assemble on the show—and they had to work! It was a huge pressure, great fun, super silly, but I think it turned out well.
